Just realized earnings season was hitting different back then. Nvidia's quarterly report was about to drop and everyone was watching for those Blackwell processor numbers - the AI chip demand story was huge at that time. Analysts were pretty bullish on their revenue outlook.

What was interesting is how the whole market was paying attention to Nvidia earnings alongside the retail numbers. Walmart and Target were also reporting around the same time, and people were trying to figure out consumer spending patterns after the election. You could feel the anticipation - would the AI boom keep pushing Nvidia's numbers up, and would retailers show strong holiday demand?

Looking back, that Nvidia quarterly report period was really a key moment for understanding where AI investment was heading. The hyperscale companies' chip orders were basically the indicator everyone was tracking.
