Hasset: Federal Reserve Chair Powell may resign after the Inspector General's report is released

Odaily Planet Daily News: The Director of the U.S. White House National Economic Council, Brian Deese, was asked in an interview about how long Jerome Powell will remain as a board member after Kevin Walsh takes over as Federal Reserve Chair.

Deese stated that he believes Powell might consider stepping down once the Federal Reserve Inspector General completes the investigation into the renovation project of the Federal Reserve building. Deese said, “I guess, the opportunity to step down might be when the Inspector General’s report is released, and he is satisfied with the investigation results.” (Jin10)
