Crypto.com Gets UAE License for Dubai Government Fee Payments

Crypto.com received a Stored Value Facilities license from the UAE central bank, allowing residents to pay Dubai government fees with crypto through its platform. The setup routes user-funded digital asset payments into settlements in UAE dirhams or central bank-approved dirham-backed stablecoins under Crypto.com’s partnership with Dubai’s Department of Finance. Crypto.com said future integrations with Emirates Airlines and Dubai Duty Free remain subject to additional central bank approvals. The license was issued to Foris DAX Middle East FZE, the exchange’s local entity.
