Mars Finance News, May 11 — Two regional diplomats revealed that Iran is demanding war reparations, which left Trump feeling frustrated. They stated that Trump opposes the use of the word “compensation” in any proposal because it could imply that the United States admits defeat. Due to the sensitive nature of the negotiations, these diplomats declined to be named. They said that Pakistan is trying to facilitate an agreement between the U.S. and Iran to end the war and maintain dialogue on unresolved issues. One diplomat mentioned that the Pakistani leadership, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Army Chief of Staff Asim Munir, has been in contact with both parties and regional governments to help maintain the ceasefire, end the conflict, and ensure face-to-face talks next week.
