Just saw Block released their proof of reserves and the numbers are pretty solid. Jack Dorsey's payment company is holding over 28k Bitcoin worth around $2.2 billion as of late Q1. What caught my attention is the breakdown - clients have about 19.3k BTC while the company treasury sits on roughly 9k BTC. That's a significant amount of institutional Bitcoin sitting there. If you're doing any square stock analysis, this reserve data is worth factoring in since it shows actual on-chain holdings. The $1.5 billion in client Bitcoin is interesting too, suggests they're managing substantial digital assets for users. With BTC hovering around $81k, these holdings are pretty substantial. Transparency like this is becoming more common but Block releasing detailed proof of reserves still stands out. Makes you wonder how many other major financial companies are sitting on similar Bitcoin positions without disclosing it.
