The blockchain just got a bit congested earlier, and I clearly confirmed my swap, but it ended up queuing in the mempool, causing my mood to fluctuate: first thinking "It should be quick," then watching others with higher gas prices cut in line transaction by transaction, and finally thinking "Just don't let me get filled at the worst point...". To put it simply, when I pressed confirm, I was just throwing my intention into the waiting room; miners/packagers pick who to include based on who bids higher, and during that time, price, slippage, and MEV might all try to snatch your transaction. Recently, AI agents + automated interactions have been a hot topic, but I care more about how they adjust gas, set slippage, and whether they have protections when congestion hits, rather than ending up "automatically sending money." I now prefer to do fewer trades and treat failures/cancellations as normal costs, just to survive first.
