Just came across this wild security story from a while back - Steam had actually hosted Block Blasters, a game that turned out to be straight-up malware. Apparently it sat on the platform for over a month before getting caught, and people lost like $150k before anyone realized what was happening. ZachXBT dug into it and found the whole thing was designed to steal from users. The security team managed to take down the command and control servers behind Block Blasters and even got confirmation from the attackers about the theft. Pretty crazy that something like this can slip through for that long. Makes you wonder what else might be lurking on platforms we trust. The Block Blasters case is a solid reminder to be paranoid about what you download, even from places that seem legit.
