Just saw this and honestly it's wild - a whale is suing a major CEX over $55 million in stolen DAI that they refuse to return. This whole thing started with a phishing attack back in August 2024, where someone got their wallet drained. The victim actually traced the funds to an account on the exchange, but here's the kicker - the exchange locked it in December 2024 and then just... kept it locked. Over a year and a half later, still frozen. They're claiming they need a court order to release it, which feels like a pretty convenient excuse. The hack itself was traced back to something called Inferno Drainer - basically a fake DeFi login page that tricked the victim into handing over wallet access. ZachXBT was the one who initially flagged it. Now the lawsuit is happening and the exchange is basically saying 'show us a court order and maybe we'll think about it.' Not sure how this resolves but it's definitely a mess for the whale. Anyone else following this case?
