Do you remember that Merge NFT project? At the time, NFT artist Pak conducted an experimental creative project on Nifty Gateway, which ultimately sold for over $90 million, making it the highest in the platform's history.
The most interesting part is that buyers weren't actually purchasing traditional Ethereum NFTs, but rather a type of token called "Public." These tokens would be combined after the sale ended, ultimately minting a dynamic and unique NFT collection. The number of tokens held in your wallet would influence the visual size and other features of the final generated NFT, which is indeed a creative design.
During the two-day sales period, nearly 29,000 buyers participated, spending a total of over $91.8 million to purchase 266,444 tokens. Someone even hoarded 8,695 tokens in a single wallet. The participation level in Pak's NFT project was truly explosive. Looking back now, the Merge project remains quite representative in NFT history.
