🔍 Bitcoin whale for the first time in 12 years transferred 500 BTC ($40.6 million) to a new address.
According to Arkham, the transaction took place on May 11. The coins were stored at the address “1KAA8…d882j” from November 27, 2013—back then, 500 BTC were worth about $457,000. Over 12 years, the asset has increased by approximately 89 times.
The reason for the transfer is unknown. Similar transactions often precede the sale of coins.
