Pizza Hut is closing hundreds of restaurants: See an updated list of doomed locations for 2026
Yum Brands is proceeding with its plan to close hundreds of underperforming Pizza Hut locations, with a Fast Company analysis revealing numerous closures across the U.S. in recent months. CFO Ranjith Roy stated these closures, part of the “Hut Forward” turnaround strategy, are expected to be completed by July 1, 2026. Despite domestic closures, Pizza Hut continues to expand globally, having opened over a thousand new locations in 65 countries last year.
