Bailey Says Global Stablecoin Rules Could Clash With US Approach

Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey said global stablecoin standards could clash with the US as the market exceeds $317 billion. Bailey said stablecoins can be part of global payments only if international standards exist. Bailey warned that some stablecoins may be hard to convert to cash without a crypto exchange, which could create financial stability risks in cross-border use.
