Polygon recently launched a cross-chain bridge solution based on zero-knowledge technology, called Polygon Bridge, specifically connecting Ethereum and Polygon zkEVM. Most importantly, this Polygon Bridge supports cross-chain transfers of ERC-20 and ERC-777 tokens, allowing funds to be transferred from the Ethereum mainnet to Polygon in 30-60 minutes, with good efficiency.
It seems that Polygon has put a lot of effort into cross-chain infrastructure, using zero-knowledge proofs to power this cross-chain bridge, which should ensure security. For users who frequently switch liquidity between the two chains, having a stable Polygon Bridge is indeed much more convenient, avoiding long wait times. Competition in this type of cross-chain solution is quite fierce now, and Polygon's approach is still somewhat interesting.
