US stock market trend | Unclear US-Iran situation, Dow Jones weakens early on

The United States and Iran have not reached a consensus on the peace plan, causing the Dow Jones to weaken early on.

As of 9:38 p.m. Hong Kong time, the Dow Jones was at 49,594 points, down 14 points or 0.03%; the S&P 500 index was at 7,395 points, down 3 points or 0.04%; the Nasdaq was at 26,195 points, down 51 points or 0.2%.

U.S. President Trump earlier posted on social media that he was dissatisfied with Iran’s response to the peace plan, calling it completely unacceptable.

According to earlier reports from Iranian media, Iran has officially submitted its latest response to the United States’ efforts to end the war through Pakistan as a mediator, focusing on ending the war and maritime security issues in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.

Oil prices rose, with New York crude oil futures currently at $96.89 per barrel, up $1.45 or 1.52%; London Brent crude futures at $102.95, up $1.66 or 1.64%.
