Just read that Australian cops just seized over 52 bitcoins in a dark web bust - worth like $4.1M USD. Apparently it's one of the biggest darknet crypto seizures they've had. The investigation was pretty wild too, took them 15 months to track everything down starting back in September 2024. They were going after people running dark web drug operations, found two guys aged 39 and 41 who had been moving over AU$100K in crypto from these illegal markets. The whole thing was called Strike Force Andalusia. Honestly kinda crazy how long these investigations take, but I guess that's what it takes to untangle the dark web stuff properly. Makes you wonder how much is still flying under the radar though.
