Just read that Ark Invest has released a pretty interesting Bitcoin forecast. They expect Bitcoin to land somewhere between $300,000 and $1.5 million by 2030. That’s obviously a wide range, but it shows how different the scenarios can be.

What fascinates me about such forecasts: if Bitcoin really were to reach these heights, the entire wealth distribution would shift massively. You naturally wonder who actually holds the most bitcoins in such a scenario and how concentrated the market would still be. The early adopters and large holders would, of course, benefit disproportionately.

Ark Invest justifies their forecast with increasing institutional adoption and Bitcoin’s scarcity. That makes sense — if more capital flows into the market and supply remains limited, prices have to go up. The question is whether 2030 is realistic or if we should expect such levels more in the 2030s.

It’s also interesting: the higher the prices rise, the more wealth concentrates among those who were early in. That’s actually an important point in the whole Bitcoin story — not just the price development, but also how wealth is distributed. Definitely an exciting scenario to watch in the coming years.
