Deep Tide TechFlow news: On May 11, U.S. White House National Economic Council Director Hassett, in an interview, was asked how long Powell would still remain as a member of the board after Kevin Warsh takes over as the Federal Reserve chair. Hassett said he believes that, after the Federal Reserve Inspector General completes its investigation into the Federal Reserve building renovation project, Powell may feel that he can choose to step down. Hassett said, “I guess the opportunity to step away could be when the Inspector General’s report is released, and he is satisfied with the investigation results.” (Jin10)
