"Show Your Credit Card": Delta Air Lines' "Nonsensical" Check-In Rule Leaves Passenger With Valid Ticket Frustrated

Delta Air Lines is facing criticism for its “show your credit card” policy, which requires passengers to present the physical credit card used for booking at the check-in counter. This rule recently caused frustration for a passenger whose spouse, for whom the flight was booked, could not check in because the cardholder was in a different country. The airline states the policy is for fraud prevention, but its inconsistent enforcement and confusing resolutions, such as offering e-credits in cases of suspected fraud, have led to significant passenger inconvenience and confusion.
