Japanese stablecoin project JPYC issues a warning to users about counterfeit JPYC tokens

Golden Finance reports that on May 11th, according to an official statement from JPYC Inc. (@jpyc_official), fake tokens with similar names, logos, or symbols may appear when searching for “JPYC” in wallets or DEXs.
The official reminder is that when verifying the authenticity of a token, do not rely solely on the name or icon; carefully check whether the token contract address matches exactly with the one listed in the official FAQ. Even a single character difference indicates a different token, and users are advised not to send, swap, authorize, or sign any operations with unknown tokens.
