I noticed an interesting thing in the market - cryptocurrencies are now moving in sync with tech stocks and gold, and the correlation between Bitcoin and Nasdaq has become positive. It wasn't as clearly expressed before. It seems that cryptocurrencies are losing their independence as an asset class and are increasingly following traditional markets. When tech stocks and gold fall, cryptocurrencies also go down - this is no longer the same dynamic as before. It's interesting to consider what this means for portfolios that relied on diversification through cryptocurrencies. Maybe it's time to rethink the hedging strategy?
