I just read something that left me speechless: Jordan Belfort, the famous Wolf of Wall Street, agrees with Jamie Dimon that Bitcoin is a scam. Yes, the same guy who pleaded guilty to securities fraud now criticizes cryptocurrencies. I don't know if it's ironic or if he just has a valid point.
According to what he says, it's not that cryptocurrencies will disappear, but that eventually a central bank or a consortium will issue its own digital currency, and that will be what truly consolidates. It makes sense from a certain angle. What worries Jordan Belfort the most are security risks, the fact that the code controls everything instead of a central authority, and basically that you could lose everything very quickly.
I don't know about you, but when someone with Belfort's track record tells you to be careful with your investments, at least you should listen. Do you think he's right or is he just another Bitcoin skeptic?
