Elon Musk said that his son Saxon had long been unable to understand the behavior of humans going to restaurants.

Because going to a restaurant is the least cost-effective survival plan, the same food can be delivered to your home, costing even only half the price of dining out.
Even if you want to meet friends, you can simply invite them over, as the environment is more private and comfortable than public places.
Until one day, Saxon suddenly realized the ultimate truth: people go to restaurants despite inefficiency and high costs, the only essential reason is to be with strangers.
🤖 Musk believes this is the fundamental variable that AI and algorithms can never calculate.

From a broad perspective, I agree. AI lacks human social attributes, which is also the underlying trait that AI cannot replace.
However, I also think we should not underestimate AI. Social behaviors like “going to restaurants to socialize” are not essential needs for AI, but that doesn’t mean AI won’t “imitate” them.
Don’t even mention social behaviors—AI can imitate “the buzz of life” as well.
🤔 Whether this imitation of social behavior is meaningful for AI might be another matter we need to consider...
