Stablecoin issuer Tether announces the launch of a developer grant program to provide funding for developers building localized AI and payment infrastructure based on its open-source technology stack. The funding amount has no overall cap and is paid based on specific technical tasks and deliverables. Developers can choose to receive payments in USDT or Bitcoin, with current individual task rewards approximately ranging from $1,500 to $4,000. Tether states that the program primarily supports decentralized, local-first AI and payment systems, including the QVAC local AI platform, self-hosted wallet development framework WDK, peer-to-peer networks, and cryptography tools.
