Lately, I think the movements of institutional investors are really becoming interesting. According to Ark Invest's analysis, the market capitalization of Bitcoin could reach $16 trillion by 2030. Since the current circulating market value is about $1.6 trillion, they are roughly envisioning a tenfold scale-up.
The background to this prediction is, of course, the increasing demand from institutional investors. While the Bitcoin market was traditionally centered around individual investors, large institutional players have started to enter seriously in recent years. The approval of spot physical ETFs, the launch of digital asset divisions by major banks, and other institutional acceptance measures have played a significant role.
Ark Invest believes that, against this structural change, Bitcoin will be recognized not just as a speculative asset but as an important component of a diversified portfolio. I think the 2030 timeframe is a sufficiently realistic assumption.
Personally, I feel whether this prediction will come true depends on the development of the regulatory environment and the pace at which institutional investors incorporate Bitcoin. In any case, the structural changes in the Bitcoin market are definitely progressing, and I think it’s worth paying close attention.
