Techub News reports that, according to TechCrunch, the robotics data layer startup Config has completed a $27 million seed round of funding, led by Samsung Ventures, with a valuation exceeding $200 million. Modern Auto, LG, SKT, and others also participated, bringing the total funding to $34 million. The company was founded by former Meta researcher Minjoon Seo in January 2025, positioning itself as the "TSMC of robotics data," dedicated to providing training data for foundational robot models rather than directly manufacturing robots. Current clients include large manufacturers and system integrators.
