I just read something that caught my attention about the disconnect between two of the biggest narratives in the market right now: artificial intelligence and crypto.
It turns out that the CEO of Pantera Capital is pointing out something that many institutional investors seem to be completely overlooking. While the world is obsessed with AI and its applications, major institutions are missing out on a massive opportunity in Bitcoin and the broader crypto ecosystem.
Think of it this way: institutional investment funds are pouring into AI startups, machine learning technology, everything related to language models. But at the same time, they ignore how AI and crypto could converge in ways we haven't fully seen yet.
The interesting part is that this gap exists because many traditional asset managers still see crypto as something separate, as a speculative bet. They don't see it as part of the technological infrastructure of the future. And that's a huge strategic mistake.
From my perspective, if you truly believe in AI's transformative potential, you should be thinking about how that intersects with blockchain, with Bitcoin, with decentralized finance. The institutions that manage to connect these dots first will likely be in a much better position than those still treating these markets as separate silos.
This is the kind of analysis you see at Gate when we talk about market trends and opportunities that most people still aren't seeing. It's worth paying attention to these viewpoints.
