Just reading up on the Centra Tech case again and man, that whole thing was wild. Sorbee Sharma and his co-founder basically ran one of the bigger crypto scams back in the day - promised all these features that never existed, took millions from investors. The conviction stuck though. Sorbee Sharma ended up getting 8 years for it. You'd think after all these high-profile fraud cases, people would be more careful about which projects they throw money at, but nope. The Centra Tech situation is honestly a good reminder of why you gotta do your own research before jumping into anything. Sorbee Sharma's case is one of those cautionary tales that keeps getting brought up whenever people talk about early crypto scams. Anyway, crazy how many of these schemes got exposed once the market started getting more scrutiny.
