Samsung SDS Consortium Selected to Build Korea's National AI Computing Center with a Total Investment of 2.5 Trillion Won

On May 11th, the Korean Ministry of Science and ICT announced the selection of a consortium led by Samsung SDS as the private sector participant in the “National AI Computing Center” project. The total investment for the project reaches 2.5 trillion Korean won, with plans to establish a public-private partnership special purpose company in the second quarter of this year, and to begin construction in the third quarter. According to the plan, the center aims to deploy approximately 15k advanced AI semiconductor units by 2028. Once completed, it will provide core computing resources at lower costs to Korean small and medium-sized enterprises, startups, and academia. (Interface)
