Deep Tide TechFlow News, May 11th, according to the Chinese government website, the General Office of the State Council issued the "2026 Legislative Work Plan" which specifically proposes to improve legislation related to artificial intelligence governance. The plan clearly states that it will accelerate the promotion of comprehensive legislation for the healthy development of artificial intelligence, and speed up the improvement of legislation to safeguard data, computing power, algorithms, intellectual property rights, cybersecurity, supply chain security, and other common elements of artificial intelligence as well as regulatory key application scenarios. This legislative plan incorporates artificial intelligence governance into the national-level comprehensive legislative track, marking China's move into a substantive stage of building an artificial intelligence regulatory framework.
