I just saw that Ripple is moving something quite interesting with the XRP Ledger. Basically, they are determined to make the network quantum-proof by 2028. Yes, quantum computing is a real threat that people are starting to take seriously in the crypto space.

Their plan is well thought out. Ripple is investing in research and development to ensure that the XRP Ledger can withstand attacks from quantum computers when this technology becomes more advanced. It’s not paranoia — it’s strategic planning.

What I found interesting is the aggressive timeline. 2028 is a little over two and a half years away, and making an entire blockchain resistant to quantum computing within that timeframe is ambitious. But Ripple has the resources and expertise for that.

This shows how the industry is evolving beyond price hype. Serious companies are thinking about long-term security and how to protect networks against future threats. Quantum computing is one of them, and those who prepare early will have an advantage.

If Ripple manages to deliver this by 2028, it could pave the way for other blockchains to seriously consider their own defenses against quantum computing as well. It’s a move that deserves attention.
