Buy the breakout chase or lie in ambush? Trading choices in different styles

In an altcoin rebound, the most tormenting question is: to chase or not to chase? Chase the rally and you fear getting trapped on the top; lie in ambush and you fear letting your funds get wasted on obscure coins. The breakout-chasing strategy is suitable for right-side traders—the key is to quickly get in once the market action confirms it has started. The prerequisite is to set stop-loss levels strictly; don’t turn chasing into chasing the highs. The ambush strategy is suitable for left-side traders: before capital flows into a given track, build positions in advance, then wait for rotation. In the current market environment, a compromise might be: for the leading sectors that have already clearly broken out with strong volume, use a chasing mindset to take short-term positions; for sub-sectors with solid fundamentals but that haven’t started yet, use an ambush mindset to build a base position. No matter which strategy, position control is the lifeline. In a rebound market, the most dangerous thing is often not judging the direction incorrectly, but taking on a position that’s too heavy and results in a fatal blow.
