AIG Completes CEO Succession Plan With Anderson to Takes Reins
American International Group Inc. (AIG) officially announced that Eric Anderson will become its new president and CEO on June 1, succeeding Peter Zaffino who will transition to executive chair of the board. This announcement on April 27, 2026, marks the successful conclusion of a succession plan first revealed in January. Anderson, formerly of Aon Plc, joined AIG in February, while Zaffino has led the company since March 2021.
