Recently, people keep asking me: what do beginners really look at when evaluating projects? Frankly, don’t blindly trust a single “audited” claim. First, flip through the audit report to the conclusion and known risks page to see if there are “scope exclusions” or “only for certain versions.” Then check GitHub to see if the commits are active, what changes were made before and after the upgrade, and if there are signs of urgent hotfixes. The most important thing is the multi-signature upgrade: who are the signers, what are the thresholds, is there a timelock, and can the rules be changed overnight? Recently, on-chain tools and label systems have been criticized for being outdated or misleading, so I’ve gotten into the habit of taking screenshots of key pages… Anyway, in a few days, I can compare and see who’s talking nonsense.
