Recently, I’ve been bombarded with various “points/badges/identity” pushes, basically taking your time and using it as fuel. As a liquidity intern who’s stepping back, watching everyone clock in at midnight, complete tasks, remind each other in groups not to miss signing in, it really feels like doing free quality checks for the platform… In the end, all I get is a profile frame, and it feels pretty empty inside.

What’s even more funny is that, just moments ago, people were arguing about whether NFT royalties should be collected and if creators deserve respect, and now these projects are replacing “creator income” with “community contribution points,” where all you contribute is staying up late and attention, while liquidity is becoming more and more scarce. Anyway, I only remember one thing now: badges aren’t worth much; what matters is whether you can stop anytime.
