According to Bloomberg, blockchain infrastructure company Digital Asset is raising a new round of funding at an estimated valuation of approximately $2 billion, with a16z crypto serving as the lead investor with about $300 million in funding. Digital Asset is the development company behind Canton Network, a public chain that supports some data privacy, primarily targeting financial institution scenarios, and has already received support from DRW, Citadel Securities, and several Wall Street banks. Previously, Digital Asset completed a $50 million funding round in 2025 involving institutions such as BNY Mellon and Nasdaq.
