Seven of the largest mining pools, including Foundry, AntPool, and F2Pool, have joined the Stratum V2 working group. Support from structures controlling over 75% of Bitcoin's hash rate increases the chances of implementing the new cryptocurrency mining communication standard.



Stratum V2 is an updated version of the protocol between pools and individual miners, intended to replace Stratum V1, which has been in use since 2012. The modification aims to provide greater decentralization, enhance network security, and increase miners' profitability.
