The U.S. Senate will vote on Monday (May 11) on whether to initiate “cloture” on the nomination of Kevin Wirth to become the 17th Chairman of the Federal Reserve. After this step is completed, the Senate will decide the final date for a vote to confirm Wirth’s nomination. For reference, Powell’s term will expire on May 15.
