The Claude Code team just dropped a bombshell: Markdown is dead, and HTML is the future of AI collaboration.

Sound crazy? But they listed six solid reasons 👇
① Information density — HTML can embed tables, SVG vector graphics, executable code, interactive controls; Markdown can only draw with ASCII?
② Reading experience — a hundred-line plan in Markdown makes your eyes bleed; HTML with tabs and responsive layouts is comfortable on both phone and computer
③ Sharing cost — Markdown attachments go unnoticed; HTML just share a link and open directly in the browser
④ Bidirectional interaction — HTML with sliders and knobs for real-time parameter tuning; after editing, export the configuration and send it back to AI, creating a closed loop
⑤ Context integration — Claude Code can traverse local files, Git, office tools, and generate batch visual summary pages
⑥ Creative engagement — making HTML pages with AI provides a much stronger sense of participation than just editing plain text
Honestly, the advantage of Markdown’s “easy editing” is meaningless in the AI era — you’re not even handwriting it, it’s all AI-generated. So why not just use a better-looking, more interactive format?
This is not just a format debate; it’s a signal of the migration in AI output paradigms.
