Early in the morning, I received a call. My childhood friend whom I’ve known for over twenty years committed suicide by burning charcoal in his car.
Last week, my mom praised our friendship in a video call, saying that he had found a girlfriend and was probably about to get married, urging me to also get married soon.
Male friendships are the kind where we don’t keep in touch all year, just get together during the New Year, so I don’t know much about his romantic history.
Hearing this news, I actually felt quite happy.
