Investing.com – Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. saw its shares climb 7.4% in after-hours trading Thursday following the release of its fourth-quarter results. The Atlanta-based flooring retailer reported diluted earnings per share of $0.36, narrowly outperforming the $0.35 mark anticipated by analysts.

Total revenue for the quarter reached $1.13 billion, an increase of 2.0% compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year. However, the company faced headwinds in organic growth as comparable store sales fell by 4.8% during the final three months of 2025.

Chief Executive Officer Brad Paulsen noted the company managed to expand its market share despite a challenging macroeconomic environment for home improvements. “I’m incredibly proud of what our teams accomplished in 2025,” Paulsen stated regarding the firm’s ability to navigate shifting consumer trends.

The retailer’s physical footprint continued to expand with the opening of eight new warehouse stores during the fourth quarter. This aggressive expansion helped bolster the top line even as “softness in existing home sales activity” weighed on individual store performance.

Looking ahead to fiscal 2026, the company issued a sales guidance range between $4.88 billion and $5.03 billion. This outlook includes the impact of a 53rd operating week, which is expected to contribute approximately $65 million to the annual revenue total.

Management expects full-year earnings for 2026 to fall between $1.98 and $2.18 per share. Paulsen characterized the results as a reflection of the “resilience of our model and our unwavering commitment to disciplined execution and strategic investments in our future.”
