BREAKING: 🇺🇸 US govt says NO quarantine required for 17 Americans on hantavirus-stricken cruise.
As of Saturday, a CDC official said, “We are not quarantining anybody,” confirming that none of the 17 American passengers has tested positive for hantavirus.
The MV Hondius has now arrived, Sunday at 5:30 a.m. local time, at the port of Granadilla de Abona, where officials began a rapid evacuation of 149 passengers and crew.
When asked whether passengers would be tested, the official said it is “not recommended to test people that do not have symptoms.”
