Japan Confirms a Japanese Super Tanker Has Safely Passed Through the Strait of Hormuz

On April 29, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi posted on social media stating: We have confirmed that a vessel associated with Japan, which was previously stranded in the Persian Gulf, safely passed through the Strait of Hormuz on April 29 and has now exited the Persian Gulf, heading towards Japan. There are three Japanese crew members on board. Japan has consistently maintained that it is essential to ensure the safe and free navigation of all vessels, including Japanese ships, in the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible. Japan will seize every opportunity to engage with Iran. I have personally conveyed our position to Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. (Tokyo News Agency)
