CoinDesk reported that post-quantum security company Project Eleven stated that quantum computing could threaten BTC wallet security before 2030, but the greater challenge in migrating Bitcoin to post-quantum cryptography is that users, exchanges, custodians, and miners must all complete the transition simultaneously. The issue is not just technical but also coordination. Subsequently, BitGo CEO Mike Belshe responded, pointing out that the company publishing this view relies on creating public panic about quantum computing as part of its business model.
