I have a friend with extremely strong willpower: he always believes he will keep succeeding. Interestingly, he indeed achieves one success after another because of this powerful willpower.


After some thought, the underlying logic should be: strong willpower leads to biased actions, and biased actions lead to greater success.
This might also be why Elon Musk said: Optimistic mistakes are better than pessimistic correctness.
