The US CFTC and SEC are strengthening collaboration on regulating prediction markets.

May 10 News, according to FOX reporter Charles Gasparino, the US CFTC and SEC are currently aligned in their regulatory boundaries regarding prediction markets and recent abnormal trading related to the Iran conflict. Gasparino pointed out that although the external view is that this field is solely under the jurisdiction of the CFTC, when prediction contracts are legally defined as “securities,” the SEC will become deeply involved.
He also revealed that, in addition to the cases already announced, regulatory agencies may initiate more enforcement actions against prediction markets in the future.
