$BTC Including Antpool and F2Pool, the seven major Bitcoin mining pools joined the Stratum V2 working group today. According to BlockBeats, on May 10th, seven major Bitcoin mining pools—Antpool, F2Pool, Foundry, Spiderpool, Block, MARA Foundation, and DMND—joined the Stratum V2 working group, marking an accelerated pace toward the next-generation open-source mining protocol. Compared to the current V1 version, Stratum V2 introduces end-to-end encryption and allows miners to build block templates themselves; whereas in V1, the mining pool controls transaction packaging. Testing shows that V2 can reduce bandwidth usage by 60% for pools and 70% for miners, while also lowering the risk of algorithm hijacking. The protocol can also increase miner revenue by up to 7.4% through reduced latency and improved fee selection.
