Iran is not just threatening oil. Now they want to tax the internet.

IRGC linked media published a plan this week. Charge Google, Meta, Amazon and Microsoft to use undersea cables passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Force them to operate under Iranian law. Give Iranian companies exclusive control over repairs.
Those cables carry over $10 trillion in financial transactions every single day.
Disrupting them for just a few days could cause hundreds of millions in damage to the global economy.
Iran is not just sitting on an oil chokepoint. They are sitting on a digital one too.
And they just told the world they know it.
