Red Star Capital Bureau, May 9 — On May 8, Qianjiang Motor issued a statement stating that recently, false rumors circulating online claimed that “major domestic motorcycle manufacturers are encircling Zhang Xue Motor through supply chain and dealer suppression,” sparking industry and public discussion. The company clarified that it has never engaged in any unfair competition behaviors such as supply chain blockades or dealer suppression targeting Zhang Xue Motor or industry peers.

In response to the three major false rumors circulating online, the clarification is as follows:

First, Qianjiang Motor has never issued a so-called “ban order” to any supply chain company. Second, the company’s channel management rules have long been open and transparent, with standardized and unified policies, fully respecting dealers’ autonomous business choices, and never implementing a channel “two-choice” model. Third, all service outlets nationwide are independent entities with full autonomous operation rights; the company has never imposed any operational restrictions, but instead continues to encourage diverse business operations and upgrade service quality.

Qianjiang Motor stated that the ability of Chinese motorcycle brands to reach the top international competition stages, demonstrate strong core strength, and break the long-standing monopoly of overseas brands is not only a glory for Zhang Xue Motor but also a shared honor for all Chinese manufacturing motorcycle companies. It is a powerful proof of China’s motorcycle industry going global and rising in strength. “We deeply recognize and congratulate this.”

It is understood that Qianjiang Motor is a subsidiary of Geely Group, mainly engaged in the research, development, and manufacturing of complete motorcycles, engines, and key components.

On March 29, Zhang Xue Motor’s rider won twice in the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) Portugal round in the WorldSSP category. On the evening of May 2, Zhang Xue Motor’s rider again won in the first race of the Hungary round.

Notably, Zhang Xue himself has responded proactively multiple times to clarify. On April 28, he pointed out that some comments were exploited by “online tool accounts,” which appeared to support but were actually blackening; on May 3, he further called on fans to “maintain basic politeness toward any brand and avoid pulling down others.”
