Strategy CEO Phong Le Says BTC Sales Would Be Limited to Dividends and Taxes
Strategy CEO Phong Le said the company would sell Bitcoin to fund the 11.5% dividend on its STRC preferred stock or to defer or offset taxes. Le said any BTC sale for dividend payments would need to be accretive to shareholders by improving Bitcoin per share. Strategy co-founder Michael Saylor had earlier said the company might sell BTC periodically. BitcoinTreasuries data shows Strategy holds 818,334 BTC worth more than $66 billion.
