SpaceX restructured XAI into SpaceXAI, focusing on orbital computing
CryptoWorld News reports that Elon Musk’s SpaceX announced the reorganization of its artificial intelligence company, XAI, into SpaceXAI, aiming to expand its business in orbital computing and satellite data centers. SpaceX has filed a “SpaceXAI” trademark application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, covering services such as satellite data centers, artificial intelligence software, and cloud computing. Musk said that XAI will be dissolved as an independent company, and all AI products will be brought under the SpaceXAI brand. This reorganization follows SpaceX’s acquisition of XAI and comes as it prepares for an upcoming IPO; analysts expect its valuation could reach as high as 1.75 trillion. SpaceX also signed a computing capacity agreement with the AI company Anthropic, which will use the capabilities of SpaceX’s Colossus 1 supercomputer to obtain more than 300 megawatts of computing power. Analysts expect the agreement could bring SpaceX billions of dollars in annual revenue.
